City welcomes latest cruise ship visit

A £195 MILLION cruise ship has stopped in Plymouth on its way from Portugal to Belgium, with passengers enjoying a look around the city.

The 11-deck Seabourn Sojourn dropped anchor in Plymouth Sound at 8am yesterday and was due to leave at 6pm for its next stop at the Isle of Wight. The vessel carries between 450 and 540 passengers, and 330 crew members.
Visitors to Plymouth were welcomed when they arrived at the Barbican Landing Stage for a look around. Jon Walton, chief executive of Plymouth Waterfront Partnership, said: "On behalf of the businesses and stakeholders of the Plymouth Waterfront Partnership, we welcome guests and crew of the Seabourn Sojourn to Britain's Ocean City.
