BGT star is among the comedians on the way

ONE of Britain's most sought-after performers is bringing his comedy magic to Plymouth this Christmas as one of a string of shows in the city.

- By WILLIAM TELFORD

Robert White won the hearts of the nation when he was runner-up on Britain's Got Talent in 2018.

He's gone on to be one of the most popular stars on the comedy circuit and will headline the special Comedy@Argyle Christmas Special, organised by city comic Will Skillington’s A Press of Suspects, at Home Park, on December 11.

The event, which may bring a smile to Pilgrims fans after the Devon derby mauling at the hands of Exeter City, starts at 7.30pm with tickets at £12.50 and £15.

Support comes from award-winning Plymouth funnyman David Arnold, who has lately been performing on the world’s biggest cruise ships. The show is also a major step up for the events organisation formed by Plymouth mirth-maker Will.

He's built a loyal following with regular shows in Stonehouse, including this Thursday, October 30, when madcap comic Alf brings his “gloriously silly” Goat Fridge show to Union Corner, in Union Street. That 7pm show is “pay what you can” with a minimum of £6.50 in advance, or £8.30 on the door.
