Washington Netanyahu visits Trump for talks on Iran and tariffs

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, will visit the White House today for his second meeting with Donald Trump since the US president's inauguration.
The two are expected to discuss Iran's nuclear programme, the war in Gaza and tariffs.
The last-minute Washington visit is taking place amid the resumption of hostilities in the Gaza Strip, and underlines the strong relationship between the two men.
Trump has pressed Iran for a new deal on its nuclear programme, although little progress has been made. There is also widespread speculation that Israel, possibly with US help, may launch a military strike on Iranian facilities if no agreement is reached.
