Beijing library has the world's largest climatised reading space and a 'nature-infused design'
Beijing Library has been named public library of the year in the annual competition to find the most beautiful new library in the world.
Libraries from 10 countries were competing, but the judges, from The Hague-based International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions, were swung by Beijing Library's "wow factor" in what is now the world's largest climatised reading space.
The other finalists were another Chinese entry, the Shenzhen Library North Hall, the Yellamundie Library in Sydney, Australia, and the Kaunas County Public Library in Lithuania.
