YOUTH CLUB WELCOMING DOZENS OF YOUNGSTERS EVERY WEEK

A YOUTH club that "feels like one big family" is welcoming dozens of young people every week in Pallister Park.

Youth Infinity was launched earlier this year by founder Lindsey Morrow, who wanted to make sure children in east Middlesbrough had "somewhere safe" to spend time together.

"I remember my youth club when I was growing up, it kept so many young people off the streets and out of trouble and gave me somewhere to just be young and have fun," said Lindsey, 43. "I still remember the role models that we had back then. Our volunteers are those role models now."

Based at the East Middlesbrough Events Centre (EMEC) off Homerton Road, Youth Infinity offers two weekly sessions: one for five to eight-year-olds on Tuesdays and another for over eights on Thursdays. The club spans seven rooms, including a dedicated video games room, a movie room, a pamper room, a disco space and a large main room used for crafts, healthy eating demonstrations and games.
