Young vapers are more likely to start smoking

THIS week we are debating legislation on smoking and vaping.

It is something that 1 have never liked. I grew up in a house where my parents smoked.

My mum used it as a hunger suppression for her weight management (way before other drugs existed) and my dad smoked just because he did.

They both stopped later in life when they started to realise that the early adverts about it being good for you were not accurate.

Cancer Research has said that smoking is the leading cause of health inequalities in the UK and accounts for half the difference in life expectancy between the richest and poorest in society.

There are some that argue that vaping is OK, or at the very least not as bad as smoking and has helped smoking reach historic lows.
