BOSS' SURPRISE CALL PAYS OFF
ALEX Bangura was struggling to put his emotion into words after making his long-awaited return to action.
Bangura was a surprise starter in Kim Hellberg's first game in charge of Boro, impressing during the 2-1 victory over Derby County to earn the supporters’ man of the match award.
The match was Bangura’s first competitive start since the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi final against Chelsea 22 months ago, making his performance all the more impressive.
And after Hellberg revealed Bangura’s post-match emotion, Bangura himself took to Instagram after the game. He said: “Words can't describe yesterday. Just happy to be back out there and even happier with the three points.”
