THERE'S an understandable buzz in the Middlesbrough Women dressing room this week as they prepare to make history in their FA Cup clash with Cheadle Town Stingers.

Boro Women host Cheadle - who pushed them to the very end in last season's league title race - in the Women’s FA Cup first round tie.

The history part of the game is that it is the first ever first-round game to be televised live, with TNT Sports broadcasting the game, which kicks off at 12.15pm today.

Interim head coach Joe Lillie said: “It's super positive in the group now.

“We're all really excited. We have many Boro girls in the group as well, so the opportunity to represent their home town club on TV is massive.
