WHILE it feels that I have spent the last couple of weeks ranting slightly about how hard it is to speak to a real person when you are trying to order something online, I am going to continue with that theme.
I'd changed my working day to be at home for a delivery and was given a very tight delivery time - so when the doorbell went I was not that far from the front door.
I was trying to work out if it took me 20 or 30 seconds to get to the door and by the time I got there (and I did have to unlock the door) the delivery person had gone. The parcel was then dropped off at the local post office, which I was able to pick up later but I probably should have got it delivered there in the first place.
