Volunteers make tidy work of cleaning parks and green areas

VOLUNTEER groups from across Middlesbrough have come together to help keep the town's parks and green spaces clean, tidy and welcoming for all.

As part of Volunteers' Week 2025, earlier this month, members of Middlesbrough's Green Spaces Friends’ Groups rolled up their sleeves to litter pick, repair, plant and maintain a range of much-loved community areas.
Dozens of dedicated volunteers - who work alongside area care staff at Middlesbrough Council to jointly manage green spaces - braved the changeable early summer weather to make a real difference in the town.
