TACO HELL FOR TRUMP

A THING of beauty happened last week in the White House a melt down marinated in ego and served piping hot.

- CHRISTOPHER BUCKTIN

Just when you thought Donald Trump couldn't get roasted any harder than a Thanksgiving turkey, along comes “TACO Trade”.

No, it’s not a new Mar-a-Lago lunch special. It’s the nickname lighting up Wall Street and giving Trump heartburn.

TACO stands for Trump Always Chickens Out, a brutally accurate label for a trade policy that starts loud and ends in retreat.

The formula is familiar: Trump threatens massive tariffs, global markets panic, businesses scream, and then - poof - he backs down.

Last month alone, he froze a 145% tariff on Chinese imports and hit pause on a 50% tariff on European goods.

The financial markets responded as if it were happy hour. Classic TACO.

The fun kicked off when a reporter had the temerity to mention the nickname in the White House. Trump's mood curdled faster than expired sour cream.
