Shock after gang set beauty salon ablaze

ONE RESIDENT RUSHED WITH BUCKETS OF WATER TO PUT OUT THE FIRE
RESIDENTS have spoken of their shock after a gang in dark clothing lit a fire at a beauty salon with a neighbour bravely extinguishing the flames.
Cloud Studio, in Hardwick, Stockton, had its shutters set ablaze in the early hours of the morning before one hero resident rushed with buckets of water to put out the fire.
Householders were left shaken by the drama, with some seeing the immediate aftermath, while others woke to find the police on the street yesterday morning.
One described the incident as “a shame” as the salon, described as a one-stop shop for beauty treatments, had been opened only a few months ago.
Cleveland Police officers went to the salon in Piper Knowle Road, Hardwick, after calls to the force around 1am yesterday.
