Scrapyard blaze visible for miles

A LARGE fire at a business yard sent huge plumes of black smoke across Teesside yesterday.
Emergency services spent a number of hours dealing with a blaze that broke out at a scrapyard on Hope Street in Haverton Hill.
Fire crews, paramedics and police were sent to the scene at 12.15pm, with roads closed and residents warned to keep their windows and doors closed.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “Cleveland Police and Cleveland Fire Brigade are currently dealing with a large fire at a business yard on Hope Street in Haverton Hill.
