Robertson hopes to celebrate 90th cap in 'memorable' fashion

CAPTAIN Andy Robertson hopes to celebrate his 90th cap for Scotland in “memorable” fashion by helping the Tartan Army to their first World Cup finals since 1998.

The 31-year-old Liverpool left-back began his career regularly playing at Hampden Park for Queen's Park, dreaming of pulling on the dark blue.
Robertson has appeared in European Championship tournaments with Scotland but that will be usurped if Steve Clarke's men beat Denmark in the final Group C fixture at the national stadium to clinch their place at next summer's finals in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
The former Dundee United and Hull defender - who made his Scotland debut as a substitute in a friendly against Poland in 2014 - said: “I don't think too far ahead but obviously, the fact is it will be my 90th cap, which is a huge honour for me and my family.
