Rider quandary driving Bears boss to distraction

GAVIN Parr has revealed his intentions to get a repeat prescription for a well known brand of strong headache tablets ahead of tonight's huge clash against Championship leaders Poole Pirates.
The Redcar boss, who runs his own business outside of speedway, has spent countless hours juggling his riders trying to cover for the recent absences of Erik Riss (illness), Jason Edwards (broken shoulder) and Jake Mulford (overseas commitments) and now admits it is weighing heavily on his shoulders.
The Pirates head north standing 11 points clear at the top of the table and, despite having ridden more matches than the chasers, are heavy favourites to retain their title.
Hamstrung Redcar are 17 points adrift and lost 51-39 when the sides met in Dorset on June 11, so really need a win by more than 12 to gain all three league points.
