RAISING VITAL MONEY FOR SUICIDE AWARENESS CHARITY

- By NAOMI CORRIGAN

Paul's work 'dares' all in aid of a good cause

IN THE past few months Paul Cunningham has donned a mankini for an icy Teesside dip, thrown himself out of a plane and attended a Boro game decked out in full PPE and hard hat.

It's all been in the name of a charity close to his heart, although the Guisborough dad has his workmates to thank for the most madcap ideas. His latest fundraiser came after yet another “dare” by pals at Hartlepool Power Station.

Following a skydive at Peterlee in April, Paul was challenged to grow his hair for the full 74-day shutdown at the plant where he works as a scaffolder's mate.

For the sake of looking “daft” for a few weeks, the 41-year-old Guisborough dad agreed and went on to raise a further funds for the Russ Devereux Headlight Project.
