Oasis played 261 gigs in the UK before the reunion tour - were you there?

- By RICHARD AULT

ASIS have kicked off a much-anticipated reunion tour that will take the band around the UK - and even further away from their roots in a legendary Manchester nightclub.

The Gallagher brothers made their live debut at the Boardwalk Club in their hometown in August 1991 and went on to perform a total of 10 concerts at the venue at the start of their career.

Setlist FM - which documents concerts played by thousands of bands at venues around the world - lists 261 Oasis gigs in the UK over the 34 years since their first stage appearance.

Currently, the Boardwalk is still the place where the band has performed the most concerts.

But all that is about to change on the reunion tour which will see the band in some very familiar stadium backstage dressing rooms.
