'Not acceptable' - Edwards left angry

ROB Edwards gave a brutally honest assessment of Middlesbrough’s defeat to Doncaster Rovers, admitting his side let down supporters on Tuesday evening.
Boro were hammered 4-0 by the League One side in the first round of the Carabao Cup, despite the fact that the visitors made 11 changes to the side that won in the league at the weekend. Edwards made five changes to his side and went pretty strong as he looked to build momentum.
However, his side were second-best all over the park and while they did have a few chances of their own, they were ultimately bullied and beaten far too easily by the League One outfit, who are flying high currently after last season's promotion.
Reacting after, an honest Edwards said: "I've spoken to the lads, they know exactly how I feel. The first thing I want to start with is acknowledging our supporters, how they were with us tonight. We didn’t hold our end of the bargain up.
