New partnership for new Boro kit

CASTORE feel that there is an alignment between their brand and the ambition of Middlesbrough, which makes the new partnership a real fit.

- By CRAIG JOHNS Football writer craig.johns@reachplc.com @craig_johns

The Liverpool-based sportswear brand were unveiled as Boro's new kit supplier in a multi-year deal starting for the upcoming 2025-26 season. They replace Errea, whose reunion with Boro lasted three years and came to an end this month.

Castore have only been in business for nine years and didn't begin making football kits until 2020. They've often described themselves as 'disruptors' in an industry dominated by more established brands. In that regard, they feel there's an instant connection between themselves and Boro.

Danny Downs, Chief Commercial Officer at Castore, said: "We're incredibly excited to be working with Middlesbrough. I would always describe Middlesbrough as a Premier League club that isn’t always playing in the Premier League. I think we'll all put that right sometime in the future.

"For us, it's very much a meeting of the minds, a meeting of the cultures. There's a club that's fighting against a lot of the big boys in the UK and Europe, and that's us. The fanbase is really passionate and dialled in to what you do. It's one of the hotbeds of UK and European football.
