Mum and kids flee home after catalogue of racial abuse
The Gazette
|November 03, 2025
A BRAZILIAN mum and her young children have fled Ormesby after claiming to have suffered months of racist abuse.
Jade Hirata and her three children aged 10, seven and four were targeted by youths who hurled stones and eggs at her home and shouted racial abuse. The mum-of-three, who was granted asylum in the UK in 2023, says stones were thrown at her children as they played in the garden and one yob told her he hopes she “gets battered all over”.
Jade reported the incidents to Cleveland Police.
“My life was in danger in Brazil and I was scared,” said the 29-year-old. “I lived here before and I have family here. I always saw this as a safe place.
“I never thought I would be going through this. I have never been here one day illegally.”
After tensions peaked last month, the young family made the decision to move away from Teesside.
Footage, taken by Jade and seen by The Gazette, shows yobs, some wearing balaclavas, hurling stones at her house.
While other videos show one teenager telling her to “get back where you came from” and saying “I hope you get battered all over, you scruffy little c***”
