THE long-awaited return of National Basketball League Division One action arrives this weekend as Teesside Lions host Leicester Warriors in a mouthwatering season opener at Olympia Arena, Teesside University.
-

The game, tipping off at 6pm tonight, marks Teesside's debut in NBL Division One following a summer of growth and strategic recruitment.
Fans can expect a powerful blend of familiar faces and exciting new talent. James Thomson and Serge Bojev have worked hard over the off-season to bring in the right peices of the jigsaw.
The squad balances continuity with a major injection of athleticism and versatility.
Among the returning players are Zak Missouri, the explosive combo guard known for his relentless energy, perimeter scoring and ability to guard multiple positions.
Alongside him, Guillaume Groves brings composure and the ability to create scoring options for himself and others, while Sam Forster continues to offer a dependable presence at both ends of the floor with his rebounding and smart positional play.
