THREE POINTS TO CLAIM, SAYS HEAD COACH, WITH A LONG WAY YET TO GO IN THE LEAGUE
ards celebrates with fans nd of the game against orwich Albion. Boro will hoping to make the most home advantage
(BY GREIG COWIE/SHUTTERSTOCK)
ROB Edwards won't look too much into any extra significance of a result this evening as first-place Middlesbrough take on third-placed Stoke City at the Riverside.
Though neither side was particularly fancied for promotion at the start of the season, both have been among the early pacesetters in the Championship, with Boro particularly impressive in an unbeaten start that sees them four points clear at the top.
Though Stoke's visit to Teesside offers Boro the chance to extend their lead over the Potters and make another early statement, Edwards is not looking at the game as anything more than just the next one. He insists it’s far too early to be thinking about the table.
