It could be Lady's first as Redcar honours trainer

REDCAR again honours the memory of one of the track's most successful trainers when it features the Sam Hall Memorial Handicap today.
Boyne Lady after winning at Redcar earlier in the season
Middleham-based Sam, who died in 1977, won the Zetland Gold Cup five times - including the first running of the historic race in 1950 with Near Way.
The latest renewal of the race in his memory is a competitive affair but it could be worth siding with the Roger Fell-trained Boyne Lady who won at Redcar in May.
The filly was off a mark of 70 that day and has dropped toa dangerous looking 66 with Kevin Stott riding.
This year’s Zetland Gold Cup was won by father and son training partnership John and Sean Quinn with Liberty Coach.
And the Malton yard must have high hopes of kicking off Redcar's eight-race card with the highlytried and well-bred colt Cape Ashizuri.
