YOU may remember last month, we celebrated the Young uns Big Boro Bash!

The trio was given their name 20 years ago when someone at Stockton Folk Club shouted out, "Let's hear a song from the young'uns.I'm beginning to think this may be a Teesside thing. In 2009, the four Hammill siblings, in a similar situation, scrolled through their iPods to hurriedly find a name before performing their first gig at Middlesbrough Music Live.

Brothers Joe, Fran, Vinnie and sister Helen chose the Australian indie band The Go-Betweens' returning home anthem, Cattle & Cane.

The original lineup consisted of Joe and Helen, the lead vocalists, with Fran providing the harmonies and guitar, and Vin on bass. Old friend percussionist Tom Chapman picked up the drumsticks.

The Hammils grew up singing and playing music together in Thornaby, encouraged by their parents, who were keen for them to take lessons and polish their individual talents.
