Former Boro transfer chief caught up in Sevilla 'chaos'

THE situation at Sevilla has been described as “chaos” as ex-Middlesbrough transfer chief Victor Orta is said to have lost the faith of club chiefs after two disappointing seasons, writes CRAIG JOHNS.
Orta, who had spells in charge of football operations at Boro and then Leeds United, joined Sevilla in the summer of 2023 but has overseen the club's two worst seasons in a quarter of a century.
Having finished 14th last term (at the time their worst finish since promotion to La Liga in 2001), they finished 17th this season, avoiding relegation by just one point.
