THE devastated boss of a Teesside restaurant has paid tribute to worker Darci Gibson following her tragic death, remembering her as a fun and bubbly young woman who “lived life to the max”.

Darci was the younger sister of Geordie Shore star Holly Hagan and died on Monday following an incident in Manchester.

Darci, from Ingleby Barwick, who was just 19, had worked at the Noir D’or restaurant on Stockton’s riverside since it opened in February.

Owner Ahmed Siddique said the whole team was struggling to process the loss of the much-loved staff member whom he said was fun, bubbly and vibrant.

“We're all in shock and I feel so bad for the family. It’s hard to imagine what they are going through,” he said.

Holly Hagan-Blyth revealed the death of her sister on Tuesday. The reality TV star, who is originally from Thornaby, described herself as “traumatised in every sense of the word’:

Mr Siddique, who also runs Vadah Indian restaurant at the riverside, said Darci was well-loved both within the team and the community where she lived. The restaurant staff are now looking to create a lasting tribute to the 19-year-old.
