Charity shop window smashed for second time
The Gazette
|September 20, 2025
TEESSIDE Hospice says attacks on one of its shops are taking money away from vital funding for terminally ill patients.
-

The charity's Thornaby shop has been the subject of vandalism twice in as many months and the smashed windows are costing hundreds of pounds to replace.
Cleveland Police say the latest incident happened at the Pavillion Shopping Centre on Tuesday evening and are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.
A spokesperson for Teesside Hospice said this was a ‘mindless act of vandalism’.
They said staff and volunteers arrived at the shop on Tuesday morning to find the window shattered, before it was then fully broken through later in the evening.
