Care home celebrates receiving highest accolade

A TEESSIDE residential home is celebrating clinching a gold award for the second year running in recognition of residents’ healthy diets.

Delamere Lodge Nursing Home in Middlesbrough has achieved the prestigious gold standard award for ensuring that those who live there eat a nutritious and balanced diet.
The accolade is the highest rating possible, from Middlesbrough MUST (Managing Understanding South Tees) team. MUST, a partnership group including Middlesbrough Council and Eat Well Live Well, awarded the distinction following an inspection of the Delamere Road home's menus.
The key achievements during the inspection include:
Accurate screening of residents’ risk of malnutrition;
Comprehensive nutritional assessments to manage and monitor risk;
