Break-in 'causes even more stress' for traders

RELOCATION-THREATENED business owners were met with shattered glass and “more stress” after a late-night break-in.

Tom Banner, 32, from Tom's Shoe Repairs, and Maryam Azadi, 54, from Glamour Groomers both traders at The Shambles in Stockton were left devastated after a burglary on Tuesday, July 15.
An intruder managed to gain entry to the 19th Century shopping centre before targeting the cobblers and the hairdressers, smashing windows and tampering with the tills.
The entrepreneurs say the crime comes on top of worry about potential relocation of their firms under Stockton Council proposals.
