LUKE Ayling admits he has an eye on the future after launching his own youth academy earlier this year.
The Middlesbrough defender has enjoyed an excellent start to this season - made all the more impressive because of the doubts that surrounded him heading into the campaign off the back of last season’s struggles.
The 33-year-old was hit by injuries last term that impacted his form, and he admitted himself recently that he started to doubt how much longer he had left.
Having taken a keen interest in helping kids in his community in North Yorkshire, it was during his spell on the sidelines that he started to think seriously about how he could really start to make a difference.
This summer, the Luke Ayling Football Academy was launched in Knaresborough.
