Another blow for town centre as Millets closure is announced
The Gazette
|August 01, 2025
AN OUTDOOR clothing and equipment store on Middlesbrough's Linthorpe Road is set to close its doors in another blow for the town centre.
-
Millets, which has been a familiar name in the shopping centre since opening in 2016, is expected to close in September.
It is the latest business set to shut on the high street, and follows the neighbouring Next store which ceased trading last month.
In recent years, the town centre has seen the loss of other big name shops including Marks and Spencer, Debenhams and House of Fraser.
