'Wicked: For Good' breaks box-office records

A congratulations is in order as "Wicked: For Good" earned P163.5 million in the five-day opening weekend box office. That's a 54% jump from the opening weekend of the first Wicked film.

The Philippines charted high international sales, ranking sixth worldwide outside of the United States. "Wicked: For Good" also holds the achievement for having the biggest opening weekend for Universal in 2025, and since 2018.
Universal Pictures Philippines also released the music video featuring the talented winners of the "Awiting Wicked: For Good" competition with their own version of the iconic "For Good" duet. The chosen singers, duos Fatima Soria and Pia Casing, Jezza Quiogue and Nowi Alpuerto, and Kyle Quinco and Tiffany Vistal, had a chance to meet Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, who play Elphaba and Glinda, at the film's premiere in Singapore.
