Tourism groups back resigned DOT Secretary Frasco

Several tourism organizations expressed their support to Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco who complied with a sweeping order from President Marcos to have all Cabinet-rank officials resign out of courtesy.

Among those who declared they stood behind Frasco were the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Philippine Chapter, National Association of Independent Travel Agencies (NAITAS), and Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines (ATOP), their respective statements posted on the DOT's Facebook page.
In her statement, NAITAS president Florence Rivera believed Frasco was "clearly doing the work and delivering results" and that she "should be allowed to continue, regardless of political noise."
