Frasco emphasized that the successful hosting of the ATF highlights the Philippines' commitment to a resilient and competitive ASEAN tourism sector, benefiting local communities and workers.

ASEAN TOURISM OF CARE, COOPERATION

During the ATF 2026 closing ceremony on January 30, Frasco, who also served as chairperson of the forum, emphasized ASEAN's shared vision of a people-centered, cooperative, and values driven tourism sector.

In her address, she said ASEAN tourism continues to prioritize coordination among member states, the broader ASEAN Community, and regional partners, stressing the need to align frameworks, strengthen cooperation, and improve connectivity where readiness had previously been lacking.

"At the same time, ASEAN Tourism prioritizes something, and coordination with ASEAN countries, the ASEAN Community and the Regional Federation. We work to align frameworks, strengthen cooperation and influence connectivity by the readiness that was constantly lacking," Frasco said.

She underscored the role of the ASEAN Tourism Standards Board in setting benchmarks for quality and excellence that serve travelers, states, and communities while honoring the region's destinations and people.

"Through the ASEAN Tourism Standards Board, we have worked to set the quality and excellence in matters. Standards that are travelers, state or communities and honor the places and the people of the ASEAN countries," she said.

According to Frasco, these initiatives form part of a unified vision for ASEAN tourism.
