Janice Ceniza of Titania Wine sent me an invitation to a Nikkei Wine Pairing Dinner at DIP Nikkei. Two of my close friends, Dr. Patrick Pangilinan and Mrs. Genevieve Pangilinan, joined me on a Saturday trip from Cebu City to the Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort.
Welcome Apéritifs were Duet Rosé Sec Mousseux and Classiques Grisd 'Cabernet. It was paired with Tuna Tartare and Crispy Shari Salmon Taco. Refreshing!
At 6:30 pm, Janice introduced Titania Wine Marketing Director Paige Meneses, who presented the concept of the "Peru Meets France" Dinner.
Nikkei cuisine refers to the fusion of the culinary traditions of Japan’s immigrants and the ingredients and flavors of Peru. Sheraton Cebu’s Chef De Cuisine, Rubén Rodrigo Serrano Cabrera, and the kitchen brigade prepared the food and paired it with French wines imported by Titania Wine Cellar.
