Citizens are now flooding official channels to report longstanding issues in roads, drainage systems, and flood-prone areas across the city following Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival's latest appeal for public participation in monitoring infrastructure projects.
Announced only last Sunday, September 14, through the Cebu City Public Information Office and the mayor's official page, Archival urged residents to submit photos and details of damaged roads, unfinished projects, and drainage problems to verify the status of both Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and Department of Engineering and Public Works (DEPW) undertakings and ensure accountability from contractors.
The move has also drawn widespread praise.
