Provincial gov't rolls out mobile kitchens
The Freeman
|October 18, 2025
The Cebu Provincial Government has officially launched its first-ever mobile kitchens to deliver warm, nutritious meals directly to disaster-hit communities.
Launched on October 14, 2025, Cebu Governor Pamela S. Baricuatro described the project as “a realization of a dream and a promise.”
“When I started my term, gibalik-balik gud nako ang food security during the campaign, mao jud na akong permi i-yawyaw na no Cebuano should go hungry,” Baricuatro said.
The mobile kitchen project consists of five fully equipped units capable of serving thousands of meals daily during emergencies. Each unit is designed to operate in disaster-hit areas, providing freshly cooked meals to displaced residents, while also supporting daily feeding initiatives in other local government units (LGUs).
