P418M budget sought for city's infra projects

Cebu City Councilor Alvin Arcilla filed a resolution seeking help from North and South District representatives, and the Department of Transportation (DOTr) for the allocation of at least P418 million for road widening, drainage system, and bridge construction in the city.

The Arcilla resolution, to be taken up by the City Council in its regular session on Tuesday, stated that there is an existing road widening and drainage project implemented by the Department of Engineering and Public Works (DEPW), authorized under an earlier measure to improve the Talamban Sports Complex to sitio Centro in Barangay Pit-os, this city.
However, due to the passage of time and the impact of inflation, the project cost has been adjusted to P150 million, with updated project details.
