Muslim section within CCMC

In a move underscoring inclusive governance and community sensitivity, Mayor Nestor Archival is considering the establishment of a dedicated Muslim section within the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC).

"We are working to include a Muslim section in CCMC that will have Muslim doctors, halal food, and culturally sensitive care," Archival said.
The proposal was brought to light during a courtesy visit by Malaysian Ambassador to the Philippines, Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino last Wednesday.
Archival revealed that the initiative stems directly from appeals made by Cebu's Muslim residents for culturally appropriate medical service.
"This is something our Muslim brothers and sisters personally brought up with me, and I want to find ways to make it possible," Archival added.
