Mandaue starts validating typhoon victims

The Mandaue City Government has directed the City Social Welfare and Services (CSWS) to bar its personnel from joining the validation of Typhoon Tino victims in their own barangays to prevent prejudice and other potential concerns.
The directive was issued as CSWS began validating residents affected by the typhoon on Wednesday, November 12.
Mandaue City Administrator Atty. Gonzalo Malig-on said in an interview on Friday, November 14, that the initial round of validation covered Barangays Paknaan and Umapad, two of the most heavily affected among the city's 27 barangays.
Malig-on said personnel were instructed to coordinate closely with barangay officials who are supervising the validation process.
"Ang i-assign diha na mo-validate is dili taga dinha gyud gapuyo, mao na ang bag'ong innovation nga gibuhat sa Mandaue City karon," Malig-on said.
"I don't know nabuhat ba na sauna but karon mao nana among buhaton, mao na among gi-insist," he added.
