MAMA VIC, YOU'RE THE BEST

I’m Hobi, one of her fur-babies.

- By Zaida Marie A. Tambis

She has only one human child, but lots of cats — some we don’t know the names of anymore, so let me introduce to you the originals.

Sky, short for Schuyler, is the oldest cat among us. He is our indoor guardian. He never steps outside. It’s not because he’s scared, but because he takes his job very seriously. He patrols the corners, watching for cockroaches, spiders, or any sneaky bug that dares enter Mama Vic’s house.

Clover is the biggest chunk and the heaviest. She follows Mama Vic wherever she goes, curling up nearby with a purr that says, “I’m here if you need me.”

Ginger likes to be in charge, especially when Mama Vic is sick. With his tail curled around his paws, he curls up beside her when she’s sleeping, making sure she’s warm enough.
