LGUs ask to create 'Green Lanes'

Local government units (LGUs) across the Philippines are expected to accelerate the processing of high-impact investments, through the creation of “Green Lanes.”

This, following the issuance of a joint memorandum circular (JMC) by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Board of Investments (BOI), Series of 2025.
A draft of the JMC uploaded at the DILG website addressed to governors, mayors, barangay officials, and local economic development officers, operationalizes Executive Order No. 18, which mandates the establishment of Green Lanes for Strategic Investments.
