“June Mar dominant even in our time,” says Mon Fernandez

June Mar Fajardo would have been unstoppable, says Ramon Fernandez, even during his time in the Philippine Basketball Association, which spanned 20 seasons from its inception in 1975.

“The result would have been the same because of his size,” the man known as ‘El Presidente’ said during the PBA's 50th anniversary opening ceremony last Sunday, October 5, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
“He could have still won all those awards. Wala siyang makakatapat e,” said Fernandez, who arrived just in time to see Fajardo accept his ninth MVP trophy in the 49th Leo Awards at the adjacent Novotel earlier in the afternoon.
