On a glitzy night of lights, sounds and colors, Italy's Gli Azzurri were at the center of all, celebrating the extension of their proud reign as FIVB Men's World Championship rulers.

They restamped their class as the planet's best, repeating their 2022 title run with an emphatic 25-21, 25-17, 17-25, 25-10 conquest of Bulgaria in their gold-medal duel before a mammoth crowd at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on Sunday night, September 28.
Yuri Romano led a dominant showing by the Italian side on the way to a second straight title and fifth overall in the sport's biggest stage.
