Governor questions P10M Pinamungajan tennis court

After the controversy over the P1.15-million public restroom in Pinamungajan, another project in the same town has sparked public discussion — this time, a roofed tennis court worth nearly P10 million.
Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro questioned the project's price tag during a recent press conference, saying the amount could have funded more essential and inclusive infrastructure.
She noted that the P10 million could have been used for waterways or multipurpose facilities that promote health and wellness for more residents, Baricuatro said.
"How many people even play tennis in Pinamungajan?" she cost, calling the project's cost "outrageous."
The project in question, officially titled "Roofing of Tennis Courts 1 and 2," is located in Barangay Pandacan.
It involves the construction of roofing structures covering two tennis courts with a total combined area of approximately 1,369 square meters.
