September 25, 2025

The Department of Social Welfare and Development in Central Visayas (DSWD-7) is urging the public to present their Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)-issued PhilSys National ID when availing of assistance programs, including the Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP) and the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS).

- Mitchelle L. Palaubsanon/FPL

To guide the implementation of AKAP, the DSWD, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev) issued Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2025-01.

The directive requires clients seeking another round of AKAP support to register with the PSA or at DSWD-PSA co-location centers to secure a national ID, either physical or electronic.
