Cebu restaurants make Michelin Guide debut

The culinary landscape in Cebu received a historic boost as the Department of Tourism (DOT) led the Resto-Run Michelin Guide Plaque Distribution and Restaurant Caravan (Cebu leg), marking the province's inclusion in the inaugural 2026 Michelin Guide Philippines.

DOT Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco spearheaded the ceremony yesterday, underscoring the significance of the milestone not only for Cebu but also for the country's reputation as a global gastronomic destination.
“The arrival of the Michelin Guide in our country affirms the culinary excellence that thrives across the nation, particularly in Manila, Cebu, and nearby regions,” Frasco said during the ceremony held at Pig and Palm, one of the 18 Cebu restaurants recognized under the Michelin Bib Gourmand category.
Other Michelin Bib Gourmand awardees from Cebu include CUR8, Pares Batchoy Food House, Esmen, Lasa, Abaseria, and Deli & Café.
Meanwhile, restaurants included in the Michelin-Selected 2026 list are Socarrat, DIP, Lantaw (Compostela), Kamakura, House of Lechon, Abli, Maya, ATO-AH, Enye by Chele Gonzalez, Pares Pares, COCO, and Sialo.
