The Binaliw landfill disaster continues to cast a long shadow over Cebu City, as the Council convened Tuesday to confront the tragedy that claimed the lives of 36 workers and one rescuer.
City Councilor Pastor “Jun” Alcover Jr., rising on a matter of privilege, demanded justice and accountability, while Mayor Nestor Archival assured grieving families that the search for missing remains will not end until closure is found.
