Juami Tiongson came up with a timely fourth quarter explosion that helped San Miguel Beer rack up a third straight win with a 96-90 conquest of Converge in the PBA Philippine Cup on Sunday, November 2, at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

Scoreless after three quarters, Tiongson suddenly flared up in the decisive canto with all 14 of his points to give the Beermen full separation after the FiberXers came charging back from a 53-61 deficit to pull within 75-76.
With nine-time MVP June Mar Fajardo joining in with the last three of his game-high 24 points, the difference even got stretched to a high of 91-80.
Justine Baltazar and Justin Arana starred in a spurt that narrowed the gap to 90-95, still 58 ticks left, but that proved to be Converge’s last gasp.
