Arce on 'insensitive' traffic enforcer video: Misleading
The Freeman
|April 06, 2025
Cebu City Transportation Office (CCTO) Chief Raquel Arce defended a deputized traffic enforcer who has been labelled as inconsiderate to a modern jeepney driver who was picking up a person with disability on Colon Street, based on a video uploaded online.
-
Arce, through the City's Public Information Office, said that the viral video was misleading.
The video's embedded label accordingly alleged that the enforcer did not give some leeway to the driver even when the driver was just accommodating a visually-impaired passenger.
It was a "deliberate act to mislead," Arce said.
Arce said that the video, believed to be taken by the driver's conductor, misrepresented the situation and did not reflect the whole truth.
Kay naa tay CCTV diha dapita sa Colon," she said.
